Here is a list of Thai and English translation centers in Pattaya. Some of these translation services also offer Thai to German translations. If you would like to have a letter typed out for private or business purposes you will find any one of these language centers can do the job for you.
They also offer legal translation services where each document will be stamped and verified. This service might cost a little more than the normal Thai to English or Thai to German translation.
Can You Recommend a Good Translation Office?
In my humble opinion the best area to seek out a translation service in Pattaya is Soi Post Office that runs between Second Road and Beach Road. There are quite a few translation services in the soi. The one I recommend trying first is Narong Ladadok Language School at 183/17 Soi Post Office. Phone: 038 429 503.
I have had a few documents translated there and they have always been correct. The head teacher will also stamp the document to verify its accuracy.
All the staff are Thai at this small office. Each time I have been there the three staff members at the front desk have always been able to communicate easily in English about my requirements.
Cost of Translations
What does it cost to have one page translated from English to Thai or Thai to English? This depends upon what kind of document you whish to have translated. The cost of a normal A4 page with around 200 to 250 words is around 200 to 300 baht.
If you would like something special translated it could cost a bit more. On one occasion I had to have a certified translation of a one page letter from the Ampher office confirming the details of a lost Thai birth certificate. That job cost 400 baht.
